Me, my why and my values

Hi I’m Lorna
After 10 years as an HR Manager, supporting and coaching people, and the following 10 years as a Director and business founder, I found myself drawn back to what I love most – helping people to become happier.
Five years ago, I made the decision to focus entirely on coaching, and in 2021, I set up my coaching business.
What brings me joy is connecting with people, building genuine rapport, and helping them find fulfilment. Emotions are at the heart of my coaching approach—I help people to tap into how they are feeling, rediscovering what excites them, and uncovering what brings them joy, balance, and contentment. Through coaching, I have the privilege of guiding people on a deeply personal journey, empowering them to reconnect with themselves and create meaningful, fulfilling lives.
My coaching empowers and supports leaders, but I also recognise the need for those people to then step in to positive workplace environments, where they can continue to be nurtured and developed. That’s why I’m also an Investors in People practitioner, working with organisations to advise and support them to improve their workplace culture focusing on employee engagement, communication, organisational culture, and work practices.
I love the variety that my work brings, the people I meet and the range of organisations that I support. Both roles also connect with my love of learning, and I continue my own training to develop my skills and uncover new approaches and tools. I’m a fully insured, accredited coach and member of the Association for Coaching, and along with ongoing professional development, I also have regular supervision sessions.
I live in Aberdour, Scotland and coach remotely with clients from the UK, Europe, Asia and America. When I’m not coaching, I recharge and find my own balance by curling up with a good book or walking my dog along the beautiful beaches or in the hills.
My coaching is guided by my core values: compassion, focus, challenge, and balance.
-
Compassion means creating a safe and supportive space where people feel truly heard and secure enough to be vulnerable and open.
-
Focus brings clarity and mindfulness, helping people discover what’s most important and set meaningful goals.
-
Challenge is about gently encouraging growth, empowering people to realise their strengths and take confident steps forward.
-
And balance is key to everything, ensuring well-being and resilience, and helping people find a sustainable rhythm in life.’
Compassionate coaching that creates space to find clarity and growth, empowering leaders to develop awareness of their behaviours and impact on others. Supporting leaders to be resilient, build self belief and find fulfilment, sparking personal transformation that leads to organisational growth.
